Just discovered your site and think its cool! Had a little giggle about Lee's chicken because I worked there (not the richmond one) as a cashier through highschool. I loved the crispy chicken...until the night my boss (the owner) was packaging up a customers order, dropped a piece on the floor, said "shh!" and gave dirty chicken to the poor customer. Since then I just can't eat restaraunt fried chicken!

Ben,

I went there a few times too, but found their chicken too greasy for my tastes.

If you go across Kingsway to Nelson, beside The Bay there's the institution (or is that institutional .... hehe) Uncle Willy's. They used to have some of the best F.C. around. After almost a 10-year hiatus, I went there for lunch a couple weeks ago on a whim. The F.C. now is still ok but not quite as good as I recall. But for $10 you get a decent all-u-can-eat buffet and the dishes aren't too bad, sort of homestyle cooking.

Hi Maria:
Are you in Burnaby? I saw that they have taken down the Lee's Chicken sign a few weeks ago and replaced it with a Korean sign board. They have been closed for a few weeks now for renovatiobn. I hope this is not the last of Lee's chicken in Vancouver.

Lee's definitely beats KFC and Church's... the chicken there is so flavorful, crunchy and juicy... just the way fried chicken should be. It's so good at Lee's that I am surprised it's not more popular! For anyone who tries Lee's be sure to order the spicy, crispy option as Ben recommended.

Lee's is very good. They used to have a couple of locations in Surrey before they shut down and I used to go there all the time. I will never forget that "Swingin' Leg and Thigh" deal. $5.99 for six pieces of chicken and a med. fries and gravy......good times.
