Cinnamon Swirl Bread

I made this Cinnamon Swirl Bread for breakfast this week. I wanted to bake a Cinnamon Raisin loaf but Arkensen and Nanzaro will not eat the bread if there is raisin in it. So, I decided to try this Cinnamon Swirl Bread which does not have raisin in it.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup + 2 tablespoons warm water
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, cut into pieces
  • 3 tablespoons sugar
  • 1.5 teaspoons salt
  • 3.5 cups bread flour
  • 2.5 tablespoons powdered milk
  • 2.5 teaspoon instant yeast (I used active dry yeast)
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon mixed with 1 tablespoon sugar

Click on the link below for the instructions.

Instructions

Place all the ingredients, except the cinnamon-sugar, into the bread machine according to your machine’s recommended order. Run it on dough cycle.

IMG_7157_edited-1.jpgWhen the machine has completed the dough cycle, place the dough on a lightly floured surface and let sit for 5 minutes.  Roll the dough into a rectangle and sprinkle the cinnamon-sugar on it.  Starting with the short end, roll the dough into a tight log. Tuck the ends under.
IMG_7158_edited-1.jpgPut the loaf, seam side down into a lightly greased or parchment lined bread pan (I used a loaf pan).
IMG_7159_edited-1.jpgLet the dough rise in a warm place for 1 to 1.5 hours.
IMG_7160_edited-1.jpgBake the bread in a preheated 375F oven for 25 to 30 minutes. You many need an aluminium foil tent at the last 10 munutes of baking to keep the top from browning too much.

The Cinnamon Swirl Bread turned out quite nicely.  Most important of all, I’ve got Arkensen and Nanzaro to eat it.
