Hi Ben, out of my interested, I was trying to find out why this drink called Bloody Caesar. Although I cannot find out the exact explanation, you maybe able to find a hint below:

My pure guess: Walter Chell might be influence by the Inn’s Italian Restaurant to create this drink and the name.

Hi Passionate Eater: I don’t think it makes much of a difference using Mandarin Orange flavoured vodka or not. The Clamato will just over-power any hint of orange flavour in the vodka. I used the Absolut Mandarin just because that is what I had available.

Wow, I was just thinking about a Bloody Mary post, but you did it better than I could ever do! You are a miracle photographer, look at those gorgeous action pictures of the liquids “mid-pour!” And I’ve had Clamato before, and it is a very savory and delicious drink. Do you recommend using Mandarin Orange flavored vodka for a Bloody Caesar?
