Hi Chubbypanda: Oh yeah ... the mussels came with all you can eat fries but I hardly touched it because there were so much mussels already.

Did you get any fries with your Moules Frites? Sounds like your main starch was baguettes, not that I blame you. They look great.

I've actually been to Chambar and have tried their infamous mussels. And although I have to agree that Chambar does have big mussels and the soup does contain more stuff, I didn't like the soup base. Perhaps I should have gone with the tomato based soup instead of the coconut based one. I ate mussels in a belgian restaurant in Paris and I thought how tasty and scrumptious the mussels were, even tho they were much smaller. But I do agree, the mussels at Chambar are HUGE! Is that consistent with 'everything in n.america is big' ? haha

Hi MammaViv: Personally, I prefer the mussels in Chambar. Their mussels are bigger and fleshier and the soup have more "stuff" like chopped onions, celery, etc. You MUST go to Chambar if you have not been there and you MUST order their mussels. It's their best selling dish on the menu.

Hi there Rosemary! It's been a while! Thanks for remembering and stopping by ... again.

I love mussels served in a bucket...it gives you the feeling that you can never run out of them.

Hi Windy: Oh, It was just pure luck finding Chez Leon.

Hi Anonymous: The unlimited fries, I did not even finish what they gave me. I am not sure what the deal is with Belgian fries, they tastes quite normal to me.

they have the chez leon franchise in Paris as well... you probably would've seen the advertisements plastered all over the metro station walls...

i love the fact that they have unlimited french fries, but after eating a huge pot of mussels, you can never fit in more than a couple of servings of fries!
