<description>Hi Lannie: I like the Dutch and I find that they are very like people here in Vancouver. Very polite and tolerant people. And I like the way they speak too. It is so unlike European ... actually to me they sounded more like an Asian language by the tone and speed they speak. I certainly had a great time in Amsterdam. Count yourself fortunate to live in that beautiful city.

		<description>Hi Chow,

I'm a Malaysian residing in The Netherlands since 2001. It's very nice and interesting to read about your tour in Europe.

So, how do you find about the dutch? Dutch people are friendly in their own way. It's weird to hear them speaking dutch. Not for me anymore cause I learn dutch language few years ago.

Talking about the food over here kroket, frikandel, haring, dutch cheese, smoked sausage etc. Kroket is not made from cheese but minced beef meat and cooked with some gelatine sheets. Yeap, pancake here is very different. Dutch people have pancake for dinner, not for breakfast. Frikandel is more like sausage.

It was a bit late for tulips now. I have tulips in my garden beginning of April and by now all are gone. The temperature for April was too warm.

I hope you enjoy your stay in Amsterdam.

<description>Nice food indeed! I didn't know that there is a Windmill around Amsterdam. Need to check it out if I have a chance. :)
