<description>When we travel abroad, Cat is "Canadian" and I'm "Taiwanese". We have the passports to prove it. Gotta love dual citizenship.

<description>I heard about that too.. That backpack travellers sew a canadian flag on their stuff.. I do not blame them. I would have too. In a foreign country you will never know how people react on you, especially if your president just started a war.

<description>From what I've heard, Krispy Kreme makes the doughnuts in the morning before 11am and in the evening after 5pm. They clean the machines in the afternoon.

I also find their doughnuts to be way too sweet. Once when they offered me a sample, I asked for one *without* the glaze! The worker gave me a strange look, but I got it.

We were in Europe this summer, and a co-worker half-jokingly suggested that we tell people "We're Canadian, eh?"

<description>I love this blog and read it everyday!! I am not much of a traveler and now I seem to be really in the dark! haha
I didn't realize there were such long lines @ the border. I live in the states and went to Canada bout 10 yrs ago, loved it!!
You can see the difference soon as you cross the border...so clean !! Even the highways in Canada are clean! On the KK subject, not much of a fan, I am a big girl :-) and not much of a sweet eater hahaha
Please keep up the very most awesome blog on the net!!
(((huggs))) Pamela

<description>Oooo! Krispy Kreme. I miss them quite a bit. I used to eat them all the time when I was living in America. Now, whenever I visit my family in Vancouver, I drive over to Surrey for them. Too bad they don't open late like Tim Hortons. And yes, the stereotype is so true... at 1am in the morning, I saw 3 cops parked outside Tim Hortons in Surrey several months ago.

<description>I am a big donut fan, and while I like KK's a fair bit, I find most of their offerings way too sweet.

Since we go down to Fairhaven (in Bellingham) and Seattle often, I recommend Winchell's (used to be a much bigger national chain than it is now) in Wallingford District, on NE 45 St about 1/4 mile from the I-5 exit.

<description>Yum! I love Krispy Kreme!! The nearest store is about a half-hour from us, but they stock them at our grocery store and I think at the Chevron gas station that's nearby. Definitely worth all those calories!

<description>i have been reading your blog for a while now. first time i had a chance to comment. my favorite krispy kreme donut is the bavarian creme donut. but i wished that krispy kreme had one that wasn't chocolate covered.

<description>yum! I love Krispy Kreme too. Years ago, Harrods used to give out free KK but sadly, they don't do that anymore :(
It costs 90p for a glazed doughnut and 1.10 for a filled one! very expensive!
