<description>Given how hostile our current president and his administration has been to the UN, I wouldn't be surprised if the leaders hadn't given Canada's offer some serious thought. Unfortunately, the United States is one of only two superpowers remaining in the world and provides most of the military backing, not to mention a good chunk of funding, for its operation. For the UN to be effective, it needs to be situated in the US. There's also no way the US would continue to maintain its current contributions to the UN were the UN to move to Canada.

<description>I remember I nearly missed the General Assembly last time I went to the UN. Kofi Annan was practising his speech in the Assembly when I joined the tour. Luckily, just before we left the building, someone shouted at our tour guide and said that it was ready for us to see the Assembly... Phew.

		<description>Hey,

If you are still in NYC you should definitely check out a couple of restaurants. One Vietnamese joint called Saigon Grill. There are a few of them around the city but I think the closest one for you would be the Union Square location. Then there's Yuka, a Japanese restaurant that has an all you can eat special. Trust me the sushi is fresh; they're serving you anything a day old or anything. The whole special costs $18!
