I went there for lunch today, I figured even if it wasn't that good, it's hard to argue with $10 for an all you can eat lunch, especially sushi. I've got to say, I was pretty happy with it.

Over this past weekend I was hesitant to go to a large (17) family dinner at this place, as I usually avoid AYCE Japanese restaurants for their lack of ambience and poor food quality. Well I gotta say this time I was pleasantly surprised. I'm sensitive to MSG, yet Ninkazu's foods didn't send me gulping down gallons of water nor give me a headache afterward. While the variety is fairly large, I liked the fact the individual pieces of nigari and maki were small, as I find typical AYCE portions much too large (and wasteful).

The Korean beef short ribs were esp. good

We were lucky to have gotten a private, enclosed room (with wall-to-wall window view of Aberdeen Mall) due to the larger size of our group. If I had to eat in the very loud and smoky main dining area I think the experience would have been less positive.

Go for the food, but don't expect a quiet ambience.

Hi Gigi, the menu items for the AYCE is the same. In addition, the Richmond outlet serves hotpot for dinner too.

wow...I'm so glad that one opened in Richmond! I'll definitely have to give that a try. Are the menu items the same as at Tomakazu?

I can't believe you have all these all you can eat japanese restaurants. I don't think we have any in Sydney. If we did it wouldn't be that cheap either. All the food looks great!
