Hi Jonnek:

No big deal really. I actually suspected that it was an impostor firstly because the commenter provided a different email address and that the incoming IP address is different from all your other comments. We had found out a little bit more through the IP address and do have a clue on who that impostor might be. This whole issue about chowtimes being given freebies and complimentary meals had been taken way out of proportion. Not sure if it is blogger rivalry or what but certainly Suanne and I will NOT engage in an internet spat over this. A blogger wrote an unfair stinging article about this issue which he assumed so many things that it is factually wrong (private invite? Hah! Where did that come from?) but we will take the high road and not respond. Suanne and I will continue to blog what we want and what we enjoy … we will NOT be dictated by unfair comments. We expect readers to accept us as who we are — warts and all. We will NOT lie to our readers. These attacks are something we had to accept when the blog has such a wide reach today. Enough for ranting!!

BTW, between you and I … no offense taken. We are good … let’s move on. Let’s talk about FOOD! LOL!

Geez, internet is such a weird place. You get impostors even on blog comments. Ben and Suanne, it wasnt me who posted a comment about asking for a receipt. You can probably tell from the email he or she provided. Unless the poster is another food blogger that has seen my email address I used in commenting in their blog. Anyway I didnt ask for the receipt or should I have any doubt when you tell me you paid for it. Your word is good enough for me.

Im sorry if I have offended you in anyway with my original comment. I didnt mean to be inquisitive. From now on if I didnt see any mention in your post that the meal is complimentary it will be understood that you have paid for it. Thank you for responding to my original post.

Hi Jonnek:
Suanne had emailed you the receipt yesterday. Did you not receive it? Can you please confirm? But really, complimentary or otherwise, please do take my review with a pinch (or handful) of salt because we had preferential treatment — I stated that VERY clearly. I swear though that the food was great and Suanne and I had a wonderful time. We learned a lot too from the Executive Chef, Tiffanie.

Ummm…. I believe the lime water is so that you can wash your hands after the finger food…..
