Day Old Bread vs Lido’s $1.45 Pineapple Bun

Every now and then I experiment with different ways of blogging. I like to see what works and what doesn’t. So today you are going to see a few of what I call “mini posts”.

I am trying to see if I could blog on-the-go from the iPhone about things I thought you might be interested in. Such mini posts are about topics which does not need full posts and are random in nature. Let me know what you think.

Anyway, after the Pineapple Bun with Satay Beef in Lido today, we walked past a bakery just a few doors away. The bakery is called Regent Bakery. We went in because we saw that they also have the Pineapple Buns and wanted to see how much it is.

Lido’s Pineapple Buns are not cheap ($1.45) although it is a hit with their customers. Suanne and I like Lido’s Pineapple Buns a lot.

Regent Bakery had two sizes of Pineapple Buns. They are much cheaper. The small ones are $1.20 for two and the much bigger ones are just $1.00.

We did not buy that but instead we were drawn to the “Day Old Bread”. LOL! This packet of 6 buns which included one large Pineapple Bun and two small Pineapple Buns is just $2.00.
