Pizza Bread

I remember that when we grew up in Malaysia, breakfast was really heavy. It seems that breakfast is the most important meal of the day. Breakfast then was not just toast and coffee but often it’s a big bowl of noodles or rice with meat.

Since we came to Canada, our breakfasts have very much toned down. It is very much just bread and coffee. We can’t eat more than that nowadays.

One of our favourite is the Pizza Bread. We bought out Pizza Bread from Bun Master although Suanne could have just as easily made it ourselves. Refer to this previous blog on Sesame Seed Bagels for more about Bun Master, It goes very well with a mug of hot coffee.

What we absolutely love about this pizza bread is the crispy edges and the rich and soft cheese on the insides. Very much like grilled cheese sandwich on steroids!

Each loaf is just enough for the four of us and costs about $2 (I think!).

Suanne bakes the pizza bread in a preheated oven at 350 F for 10 minutes or until the cheese is bubbly. Very simple and fast. If you have never tried it before, you should — I think you’ll make it more often once you’ve tried it.

Could you post (or email me) more recipes from your fantastic looking dishes? I’m especially interested in the pizza bread and the eggs florentine (that looks FANTASTIC!). I do weight watchers, but can easily make them lower fat/calories for what I need…

    Great blog!!

Hi Daniel: Wow, thanks for the feedback. He he he … it is getting more and more difficult to make interesting blog. Nowadays, I got to do more research and thinking to keep up the originality! 🙂 I collect a lot of recipes but only trying 1% of them all. Let me know what type of food you like and I will try to make one and dedicate it to you!
