Minoo also made this scrumptious Oatmeal, Raisin and Chocolate Chip Cookies in the South Arm Community Kitchen. It is about time to switch on the oven to do some baking as the weather is getting colder. I love the aroma from baking sweet treats.
- 2 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 cup butter or margarine
- 2 cups brown sugar, packed
- 2 large eggs
- 2 cups rolled oats
- 1 cup shredded coconut
- 2 cups chocolate chips
- 1 cup raisins
Preheat the oven to 350F. Grease the cooking sheets or line them with parchment paper.
Parchment paper is completely non-stick and can be used over and over again. It is economical in the long run because it saves washing, greasing and flouring cookie sheets and it prevents the frustrations of cookies sticking to the cookie sheets.

Cat and I love oatmeal cookies. Every time her mother asks me to make cookies, Cat begs me not to make the oatmeal ones because she’s afraid she’ll eat them all.
i have been searching for a oatmeal cookie recipe for ages!!! question though if i left out the shredded coconut and the chocolate chips will it be a basic oatmeal cookie recipe?
love the pics with the instructions!!!
Hi Michie, you can surely leave out the shredded coconut and the chocolate chips but I would recommend you increase the rolled oats from 2 cups to at least 3 cups or more. Let me know how it turns out.
Thanx soo much for the recommendation!!! the cookies came out GREAT!! i love how they taste, soo yummy…
