Maple Leaf Foods Apology Coupon

Update: Susan had just confirmed that the coupons are fake. Please see comments on this blog post. So, don’t go around redeeming these coupons!!

Really … I don’t know if this is for real. I had someone sent me an email that says:

Maple Leaf issued 4 printable coupons good until December 31st/2008….you can basically use them as many times as you need since you can just keep printing out new ones! These items are free, not 2 for 1 or discount, but free.

Can someone verify and confirm if this if for real? Well, I am thinking if this is too good to be true, it probably is.

Ben 🙂

    Hey Ben,
I just checked online and it turns out to be a fraud. The retailers will not get reimbursement from the Maple Leaf and it was also reported on the news yesterday.I think it’s wise to remove the link before they labeled your site as the source of spreading of these coupons.

Even if it were true (which it isn’t), how many cold cuts can you tolerate between now and Dec 31???

That is okay. We know that you had a generous motive in posting it. Thank you for thinking of us Ben!

Are they real? My sister tried to redeem them and No Frills as well as Loblaws said they were fake. Walmart redeemed them. So are they real or fake?

      Hi RoseAnne:
The coupons are fake. Maple Leaf had posted on their site saying so. I think it’s because they looked so authentic that some the cashiers at some stores just rang it through the till. Check out all the comments on this post for the various take on this matter.
      Ben
