Chowtimes.com Turned Three

It’s better late than never.

Suanne and I just realized over lunch today that Chowtimes had turned three a few days ago. So, here is the obligatory celebration post.

In the past year, Suanne and I had immensely enjoyed sharing our food and travel adventures with you. I wanted to let you know that our passion to continue to share today is as much as it was when we first started. We know some day we will get totally bored with blogging and move on to some other hobby but that is still a long way off.

We made a lot of changes the past year which had resulted in the blog growing in all aspects. We had breached the 1 million page views mark which we aimed for in 2008. In many accounts, I think chowtimes had grown to be the largest food and travel related blog site in the Vancouver area … it is something Suanne and I are pretty proud of.

But what we really enjoyed most was the 5377 comments all of you made (also to note that we had 25,078 spam comments altogether!). We made a lot of new friends through chowtimes who had turned out to be some of our dearest friends in life.

The biggest change we had was the fact that we started monetizing the blog the past year and changed the template to something more professional-looking. As you can see, we had put in some considerable ads on the site but really we hope this is not intrusive to you all. If you feel that we are over-doing it, please holler!

Suanne and I (and of course Nanzaro and Arkensen too) wants to say thanks again for the support.

    Hi,

Great works and well done. I would have to say you are one of the best blogs in the Vancouver area. I just want to share my appreciation for all the hard work and dedication that you have put into your blog. Three years is a long time, and an amazing accomplishment.

    Great job.
