Green Tea Icing

Ava made two types of icing for her Chocolate Cupcakes.

The first icing is Green Tea Icing.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 4 tablespoons whipping cream
  • 2 tablespoons matcha powder
  • 5 to 6 cups icing sugar, sifted

P/S: ignore the Icing Color bottle; we did not use it.

Prep time: 10 minutes; Serve 24 cupcakes

Instructions

Green-Tea-Icing-5-300x200Combine matcha powder with whipping cream and mix into a paste; set aside.
Green-Tea-Icing-1-300x200Beat butter briefly in a bowl. Sift the icing sugar into the butter.

Green-Tea-Icing-3-300x200Beat until smooth. Use a piping bag to decorate the cupcakes.

      Hi Polly, if I remembered clearly, we were using the larger star tip.

      Hi lottie, the one in the photo is Ujinotsuyu – Matcha Hagoroma green tea powder.

      I bought it from Super Grocer at 12051 No. 1 Road, Richmond. I’m sure you can find it in many groceries stores.
