I start work real early today. 5AM. Crazy. So I end work early too. On the way back I spotted this huge sign below.
Can’t resist a good deal. Did not expect much. Just checking this out to TOFTTing this place out for you.
This place is called Megagrill. Located on Kingsway and Fraser. Just across the street from Les Faux Bourgeious (sp?) and next to Empress Bakery. Told me they were opened for … 3 months already.
Menu doubles as a calendar. The pictures are enticing for sure.
Anyway I ordered the NY Steak. Medium rare. 5 minutes wait. Not bad. Am only person in the resto.
It is thin. Broccoli looked sad and dried up.
Medium rare it was not. Not complaining because was not expecting much. It was juicy enough. Like some of the parts which was charred.
Fries wasn’t good.
There. Another live blog post from the iPhone. Quick and dirty.
I’ve never wanted an iPhone more than I have now.
My iPhone4 can’t do that 🙁 or I just don’t know how HAHAHA
You can do basically anything with iPhones! You just don’t know how 😉
Ben: Yea, write one up please!
Hi Kevin and Elaine and JoyLC: Not sure if you want me to, I can write up a small post about how I use smartphone to blog … just for a matter of interest to some blogger readers out there. Ben
Sounds great Ben….I love learning about techie stuff.
I will definitely be interested =)
impressive …really enjoying the “on the go…live blogging!” …too bad lunch wasn’t better.
Thanks for TOFTT 🙂
I’ve wondered about this place. I go to the kids consignment store a few doors over. Now you’ve confirmed it for me, Ben, that this place is a ……. dive, lol. Sorry the food was crappy.
If you want a better $10 steak, be “brave” and try:

Or something closer to your work place in Burnaby.

Oh gosh! I did not even know there is a place like this. Certainly looked a lot better than the one I had this afternoon. Am gonna check out the daily specials. Ben
Or Tom & Jerry’s on Hastings:

But I know that’s not exactly on your commuting route, Ben.
Noticed that restaurant while driving home. Thanks for the scoop. It won’t be on my to try list!!
my friend whom used to worked at denny’s told me that steaks were thrown in the deep fryer and then put it on the grill for those marks. So im assuming they do the same here, that is why the doneness is so off, that looked like mid well.
LOL! Is that what happens? I’ll pay more attention to the steaks next time in Denny’s.
