When I accompanied Ben to apply his Chinese visa, we came across this Chiffon Patisserie on West Broadway on our way back. It looks like a good candidate for my cake meet with Polly.
From the urbanspoon site. this patisserie opens for breakfast and lunch on week days only. Meter parking is available along West Broadway. Just be ware that the parking is strictly enforced as we saw the meter is being checked while we were there.
They have a good selection of pastries, salad, sandwiches and subs. The prices are quite reasonable.
Chiffon Patisserie seats about 20 inside the restaurant.
Polly ordered a small Mocha for drink while I ordered a …Tea Latte. My choice of tea was Goji Berry Green Tea.
The small mocha costs $3.50 while the tea latte is $2.95.
Our first dessert was a Lemon Bar. It is $2.95 for a good size bar. The shredded coconut adds texture to the tangy dessert. The sweet crust balances the tartness of the filing very well.
The above Pavlova with strawberries costs $3.50. It is crispy and light and yet chewy at the end. Polly commented it tastes like Kueh Bangkit.
Eating the pavlova is really messy as the pavlova crumbles as you dig into it. We ate like little kids with bits scattered over the table.
Our last piece is the above Raspberry Danish with Cream Cheese. The pastry is flaky while the filing is not overly sweet. It costs $2.50.
Chiffon Patisserie accepts credit cards.
Thanks for this Suanne I’ve wondered about this place.
You certainly eat well!
