Tibisti Foods & Grill has been on our wishlist for a long while. Ben had been away for business trips a lot. Finally we managed to go to Tibisti before his long assignment to Beijing again.
Tibisti Foods & Grill is an all day grill which serves Mediterranean food and middle eastern food. It is a halal restaurant.
We should have come on a Wednesday as the Roast Lamb Meal is at promotional price of $9.99 on Wednesday.
There is nothing much on decoration in this restaurant. Just some tables and chairs which are spaciously set. I came here for the food and I’m not bothered by the decor as long as it’s clean.
Ben ordered the Lamb Chop Meal for $14.99. All the meal here is served with biryani rice, Greek salad, Tzatziki sauce and baked potatoes. Somehow, Ben’s plate is missing the baked potatoes.
The server told us that the lamb chop is made with fresh lamb. There were 5 pieces of lamb chops.
I had the Roast Lamb Meal for $11.99. The roast lamb was so tender that the meat just fell off the bone. I really enjoy it. The roast lamb has a milder flavour compared to the grilled lamb chop. The Biryani rice is made with basmati rice and it’s very flavourful.
Nanzaro initially wanted to order the Chicken Sheekj Kebab but it was out that day. The server recommended the above Oven Baked Chicken Meal which is $10.99. Nanzaro liked his meal except that he did not touch the Greek salad.
The total bill came to $42.56 before tips. Tibisti Food & Grill accepts credit cards. When I was paying for the bill, I saw they also serve baklava. Will get it next time.
Wow, looks like the things you get here in Turkish restaurants. I’d murder any one of those plates of goodness.
I’ve been getting a trojan virus warning on your blog from my Google Chrome browser. You may have to check it out.
Yes me too, Chrome warned me also.
Chowtimes.com has been scrubbed of the malware. We have monitoring in place and checking every 20 minutes. Some tools are still blacklisting chowtimes.com but it should clear up within next 8-24 hours.
Looks delish.
Just curious if the picture of Ben’s lamb chops is showing 2 of the 5 pieces ?
Hi LotusRapper:
I can’t remember exactly how many pcs there is but am sure Suanne counted and noted it.
If you look carefully at the picture you can see at least four lamb chops, stacked. 🙂
Ben
2 minute walking distance for me! 🙂
Stay away!!
They serve old horrible food in their buffet that seem kept refrigerated for days and from left overs of the previous day’s buffet! They pour grease and oil/fat on all the food with lots of salt thinking they can fool people around to mask the rotten taste of old food. There’s basically no service; rude and mean servers and chief. This is NOT a Lebanese restaurant; may be one day it was long ago when a Lebanese chief was in charge and the food was good back then; not anymore with the new immature Libyan caterers of poor attitude, food and service. Myself, my wife, and our infant went there for their “buffet” and the ‘server’ let us in without telling us that restaurant will close in half an hour. He removed all the food from the buffet while we were still eating and fully charged us! His excuse was “Working hours are written on the door and we are not staying a minute longer”!! He literally kicked us out! Not just that, while he was arguing with me at his desk another customer just came in and he served him although he was basically “closed”! That was unethica, unprofessional and the most horrible experience we’ve ever had in a ‘restaurant’. So if you don’t want to be humiliated and you want to keep your dignity stay away!
