We had our layover in Shanghai Pu Tong Airport. It was supposed to be a 3.5 hours layover.

We arrived in the evening. Shanghai Pu Tong Airport was not very impressive.

The only interesting feature was the above ceiling decorations.

We had dinner at one of the restaurant in the airport. We ordered a beef noodle soup to share. It was RMB39 (about CAD6.50). The pricing is like Vancouver standard.

The handmade noodle was not bad but the broth was not hot enough.

We also ordered some xiao long bao to share. RMB30 (CAD6) for 5 pieces. Pretty expensive for local standard. It was served piping hot.

The xiao long bao skin was pretty thick and it was not very juicy.

Our flight was delayed for more than one hour.

The second leg of the flight from Shanghai to Kuala Lumpur was a 5 hours flight.

We were served breakfast on the flight. Ben had Chicken Rice. It came with other fixings like bun, yogurt, watermelon.

The coleslaw and the fried fish skin were very good.

I had seafood noodle for breakfast. Ben reminded me again not to finish my breakfast to save room for breakfast in Kuala Lumpur.
