Atlanta Day 4: Lunch at OK Cafe

We slept in and woke up at 9AM. The weather forecasted a thunder shower day.

Ben brought me to OK Cafe for a late breakfast. OK Cafe is a all day cafe.

During regular peak hours, there will be a long wait for a table. Since we came before the lunch crowd, there was no wait.

We decided to wait for 15 minutes to order from the lunch menu instead. We shared a thick chocolate milk shake while waiting. The server was so sweet that she served it in two glasses knowing we were going to share it.

Ben ordered a Rocket Burger with Jalapeno peppers and Monterey Jack cheese.

The Rocket Burger was served with fried green tomatoes, fresh slice tomatoes, slice red onions and mayonnaise on the side.

Ben likes his burger with lots of ketchup. Ben commented that the burger was not greasy. The toasted sesame seeds on the bun added crispiness to it.

I had a Chicken Pot Pie. I was expecting it in a pie form. But it came with a piece of flaky pastry on top of the chicken pot pie filing. It was creamy comfort food.

Our meal came with some sides; peppery Squash Souffle; corn bread and Southern Coleslaw.

It was pouring outside while we were enjoying our lunch. The rain did not look like it will stop any time. So, Ben ran to the car and picked me up at the door so that I will not get soak in the rain.

Well, that meal looks decidedly better than what you were served at the aquarium. The burger and fries looks great.
