It was a bright sunny morning. We headed out early for breakfast as Ben has a meeting in the afternoon.
We had breakfast at Steak & Shake. It’s a 24 hour joint.
Ben could not resist to order a Chocolate Milk Shake since this is a steak & shake joint.
Although it’s for breakfast, Ben must try their steak burger. He ordered the Royale Steak Burger for USD4.99. It came with a fried egg, double steak, American cheese, bacon, tomato, lettuce and hash brown patties.
Ben had pat down the burger in order to bite into it. It was too thick. He hates to do that. He often scolded me for squeezing his burger when he gave me a bite to try.
Look at that monster!
I had a Portobello ‘N Sausage Skillet for USD5.99. It is scrambled eggs, caramelized onions, Swiss cheese and hashbrown served on a skillet.
My order came with a choice of buttermilk biscuit (which I picked), toast or bagel. Our hearty breakfast will last until dinner.
After this kind of breakfast everyday you need not to wonder why most Americans are so over-weight and having health problems.

So …….. what did you have for lunch, Ben ? 😉
Man, while that thing looks delish, it also looks like it’s packed with excessive “everything” (calories, fat, sodium, etc) for a whole day.
For two people …..
