Random Eats in Beijing – Chinese Pastries

We bought these Chinese pastries from a road side stand while on the way to lunch.

The pastries came in different flavours, like milk, peanut, osmanthus, etc. I cannot recall now what are the rest of the flavours but I remembered we bought one each. All the above plus one that we ate at a restaurant was RMB15 (CAD2.50).

The pastry was flaky. Here are more close up view of the rest of the pastries.

Though the shapes are interesting, how was the taste of these pastries?
