The multicultural community kitchens celebrated the last session of 2013 with a potluck at the Caring Place.
It’s nice to see old and new faces as I have not been attending any of the multicultural community kitchens for more than a year. As usual, there are lots of food in the potluck.
Appetizers: Octopus & Seaweed, Chicken Salad.
Marinated Chicken, Gizzard & Egg; Funny Taste Chicken (aka Saliva Chicken).
8 Treasure Congee; Chicken Herbal Soup (great for the cold weather).
Paella style Chicken Rice; Fried Sushi Rice.
Fried Sticky Rice; Chinese Steamed Flower Bun with Spring Onion.
Ethnic dishes: Cabbage Rolls; Vinegar Pork Knuckle (confinement food).
Mala (spicy numbing) Mixed Noodle; Pork and Chives Dumplings.
Roast Pork and Potatoes; Corn Bread.
Egg Tarts; Cheese Cookies.
Apple tarts from New Town Bakery; Muffins.
