I met up with 3 of my girl friends at John 3:16 Malaysian Delights for a quick dinner before we take the Canada Line downtown to the Rogers Arena for a Night of Hope with Joel & Victoria.
The restaurant was opened recently and we all like Malaysian food.
The restaurant is quite small with a few tables. The owner of the restaurant previously ran the Malaysian stall at the entrance at the Richmond Public Market.
Since we were at a rush, we just ordered fried noodles from the menu. The above was recommended by one of my girl friend who had dined here before. It’s a fried vermicelli Malaysian style. We can taste the flavour of egg in it.
The next dish was KL style fried Hokkien Noodle. It’s thick noodle fried with thick dark soy sauce.
This has some bits of pork fat and we were surprised to find some chunks of fish in it too.
Another girl friend ordered Penang Fried Kuey Teow. The server asked us how spicy we like it and of course, we asked for very spicy. This was the best noodle of the night with great “wok hei” and spiciness.
Another girl friend ordered her husband’s favourite which is Mee Goreng. This was slightly sweetish. Sorry for the blurred photo as we were at a rush to eat.
We saw the above discount sign for Malaysian Association of British Columbia members.
All the noodle dishes are $8.95 each.
We had a great night out with uplifting and inspiring messages.
Now in North Van. Closed Sunday.
