Our first destination in Toronto is Niagara Falls. J&C spent the day with us at Niagara Falls. We went to the US side of the Niagara Falls which resides in one of oldest state park in United States, New York State Park.
We were surprised to see a lot of Indian Restaurants here.
It was an amazing site when we first saw the falls.
The mist causes the rainbow effect.
Ben bought the Niagara USA discovery pass online. It comprises of 5 attractions. We picked up our tickets at the visitor center. Our first stop is the Adventure Theater where we watched the incredible stories and history of Niagara Falls. The next itinerary is the Maid of the Mist as we wanted to go as early as possible to avoid long line-up.
The line-up for Maid of the Mist ride.
A view from the upper deck where we were lining up. We have to take an elevator down to the dock.
Sea birds swirling beside the falls.
It was an awesome experience when the boat ventured into the thundering waters beneath the American and Horseshoe Falls. Beware of your camera getting wet. I know one can’t resist taking photos of the amazing falls.
By the time we returned from the Maid of the Mist boat tour, the line for the Cave of the Winds was already very long. There is two line for this attraction. First, we have to queue up to get the tickets and sandals. There is no proper signage to where to line up. Luckily we found out soon after we joined the wrong line.
After more than two hours of lining up, we finally got the our destination.
The water was so cold that my toes cramped up.
It is worth the while the line up to be able to be up close to the falls.
We were just awe by the sound of the thundering power of the water from the falls pounding down from nearly two hundred feet.
We did not go to the remainder attractions which is Niagara Gorge Discovery Center and Aquarium of Niagara as we were tired of the line up and it’s getting late too.
Wow, it’s gorgeous! I’m heading over this weekend, can’t wait. Thank you, these toronto eats are super helpful ^^.
