Lorna and I went groceries shopping at Pricemart. We decided to grab a bite before that.
We went to the newly opened Home BBQ (Dachuanjia) at the strip mall where Suhang and Nando’s are located.
I came here for the BBQ lamb skewers but unfortunately, the BBQ is only served at dinner time.
Dachuanjia is a small restaurant with about 20 to 22 seats. It was decorated with colorful art work.
The main item served for lunch is the above Customized Noodle. It was rather pricey for $14.99.
The serving was big, good for two small eaters. We had beef and lamb for the meat, enoki mushroom and leaf lettuce for the veges, medium spicy broth and hand cut noodle for the noodle.
I thought the hand cut noodle is freshly made but they actually use the store bought dried noodle. Nevertheless, this type of noodle has good texture. I had some at home too.
The broth was too spicy for Lorna but it’s alright for me. Lorna commented that the sharing bowl will be great for her grand kids.
We also ordered a Pork Pancake to share. It is a right size serving for it’s price at $9.99.
The pancake was fried to crispy on the outside and it came in multiple layers. Although the restaurant was not too busy, it took a while for the pancake to arrive.
Chinese tea is served.
Initially, we also ordered a dumpling dish. Luckily the restaurant ran out of it. Even with just two items, we had leftover to go.
Credit card is accepted for orders above $50. Debit card is accepted here.
