Our first itinerary for day four is visiting Notre Dame. I meant visiting the interior of “Our Lady of Paris”.
We got an audio guide for Euro 5.
View towards the altar.
The modern equipment seems to be out of place.
A chandelier of electric candles.
Stain glass window.
Prayer candles lit by donation.
Wall sculpture.
After touring the interior, we decided to go up the tower. The line up to go up the tower was long and slow.
There are about 400 steps up the spiral stair case up to the tower.
One of the gargoyles, i.e. crafted statues placed around the outside which serve as column supports and water spouts.
View of flying buttresses from the top.
A closer look at the flying buttresses.
More gargoyles.
Statues which stand at the peak of the facade on each transept.
View of Eiffel Tower from the viewing patio of Notre Dame.
The spire of Notre Dame.
View of the river Seine.
View of a small garden which we had walked passed before.
Wow, Paris is always special, acient and romantic ^^
Paris is definitely on my list
