Polly called me for lunch on a Monday as her appointment was cancelled at the last minute.
I suggested to try the lamb specialty restaurant which was opened about six months ago. It is located on MckKim Way and Garden City.
The decoration is kind of traditional Chinese.
Even the tableware looks traditionally Chinese.
The server who served us is the owner of the restaurant. She is very friendly and recommended us the dishes which are the specialties of the restaurant.
We started off with a Baked Sesame Cake with Mutton ($4.99).
It is Chinese style sandwich. The bun has a slightly crispy top with toasted sesame seeds. I felt that the filling needs some kind of sauce to add moisture to it. Otherwise, it is pretty good.
The main dish is Sauteed Spicy Mutton ($23.99). We saw many tables had this.
The mutton was slightly spicy with quite a lot of tender meat. We love this dish. We asked for fork to eat the mutton but the owner advised us to enjoy it with our hands and offered us gloves instead.
We also had a bowl of nutritious Mutton Soup ($10.99). It has slices of lamb and some potato noodles in it. The broth was flavourful.
Hao’s Lamb Restaurant accepts credit card for bill above $60. For a lamb lover like me, I will definitely come back again.
Should they call it Hao’s Mutton Restaurant instead? ;P
But this place seems worth checking out.
