Ben and I went out for lunch on a work week day. He came home early as he had to renew his passport.
We went to Lu Charcoal Grill in the Brighouse strip mall. Lu Charcoal Grill opens for breakfast at 9:30am.
The place is decorated with soccer memorabilias.
I like the lantern lighting with a warm glow.
We ordered two combo breakfast items to share. The first combo (Combo 1, $8.95) consists of Chinese crepes (Jian Bing). Their version was a bit soggy, even the crispy dough was not crispy.
The combo came with a savory Soy Bean Pudding. This was ok.
The second combo (Combo 2, $9.50) we had came with a Beef Roll. There is an option for Pork Roll. The Beef Roll was better than the Chinese crepe.
The second combo came with a small pork stomach thick soup. It was very gamey. There is also a tea egg in this combo.
There is a change of item in the Combo 2 as the menu indicated that it should come with fried liver instead of the pork stomach thick soup.
The meal came to about $20 before tips.
