Ben and I went to Burnaby for a walk on the last day of the holiday season before works resume.
We had lunch at Qin Ma Grill across the Real Canadian Superstore in Metrotown.
I like the huge poster on the wall depicting a hawker style stall.
Ben ordered a small Mala Soup Bowl for $13.99. The small bowl allow 3 choices of meat and 2 choices of veggies. Ben choice was lamb, pork belly and beef tripe with potatoes and bean curd.
It came with rice noodle in it. Ben opted for medium spiciness which turned to be quite spicy. So, if you love to a spicy kick, here is an option for you.
I ordered a Mixed Noodle with Scallion. I’m trying to cut down on meat as my cholesterol reading was not so good. The serving here was not big.
Condiments on the table for you to spice up your dish.

After lunch, we stopped by Crystal Mall to get some food home for the boys. While waiting our orders from the Ipoh Bean Sprout Chicken, Ben saw a new item being advertised at the Cherry Fruit Tea & Icy Bar. It is Taiyaki, a Japanese fish-shaped waffle cake. So, he bought one for me.
He opted for mochi with red beans. The other option is custard with mochi. It took quite a while for that order as it was at peak lunch hour. The above cost $3.50.
