KL 2017 Kek Lok Si Temple

After the sight seeing of some of Penang’s Heritage Trial, we continued our journey to Kek Lok Si Temple. It is believed to be the largest Buddhist temple in Malaysia. We were advised to go early to avoid the traffic jam going up the hill.

Now, we can drive up to the temple. In the old days, we will have to walk up, passing through a lot of merchants. I do miss the walking up adventure but was also glad that I do not have to walk in the heat.

We took the tram up to visit the “Kuan Yin” statue. The return tickets cost RM6 (abt CAD2) per person.

We arrived around 5PM to avoid the traffic jam and also wanted to see the night view. Unfortunately, we just could not wait until sun down. On the way down the hill, the traffic coming up was crawling. We definitely made the right decision to come early.
