The next morning, we had breakfast in the hotel as the stay includes breakfast.
It’s a set breakfast with toast, hotdog and omelette, with coffee.
After breakfast, we walked to the Red Square area again. This time we followed a group of tourists to the Malacca Fort.
This reconstructed Middleburg Bastion was constructed by the Dutch around 1660. It provided extra security to the port and Malacca River.
The bastion is equipped with cannons.
A turret serves as a lookout point and keeping watch.
The stone that was used to build the fort is strangely porous.
