A few of my lady friends met up for dinner at Cardero’s Restaurant in downtown Vancouver.
I’m naming this group of friends as WASP from now onwards. W, P and I met up at Waterfront station and took a nice stroll to Cardero’s.
Complementary bread and butter while we waited for A who was trapped in a traffic jam from West Vancouver to downtown.
We had a window seat with a nice view.
When A arrived, we ordered our drinks. W and I ordered the only non-alcoholic drinks on the menu; Siwash Sunset and Raspberry Lemonade. A & P ordered a glass of wine.
We started our meal with a cup of Manhattan style clam chowder. The clam was chopped small to prevent being chewy, as A commented.
We shared a Dockside platter.
W recommended the Dockside platter for it’s wok fried squid. They were tender.
The BBQ ribs were sweetish with honey and molasses.
The Wok Chicken were flash fried with sweet & sour sauce, garnished with green onions and sesame seeds.
We had two orders of the Westcoast Fish Tacos as each order comes with 2 tacos. The taco is made with fresh local snapper, salsa fresca and spicy yogurt. The fresh house-made guacamole is extra charged.
We had split bill for convenience of payment. Credit card is accepted here.
The day is getting longer now. W, P and I had a nice walk back to the Waterfront station while A drove home.
We were amazed that A texted us that she already reached home when the three of us just reached the Convention Center. What a contrast without the jam, 15 mins against 1.5 hours.
Nice place to take tourists but SO noisy…it’s tough to carry a conversation.
