Lunch Special at Banana Leaf on Davie St., Vancouver

Ben and I went to downtown for our walk on a beautiful summer day.

We intended to go for lunch at a Korean place. On the way there, we walked past Banana Leaf on Davie St. and we were intrigued by their weekend brunch special. So, we changed our plan and had lunch at Banana Leaf instead.

We were greeted by a wall of awards on their wall of fame.

The above was their Nasi Campur Deluxe Set that brought us into the restaurant.  There were 13 items on the tray, in small serving. This is a great way to introduce Malaysian cuisine to people who are not familiar with the cuisine.

Here are some close up shots of the individual item; Assam Curry Prawn.

Gulai Fish.

Chicken Satay and Tumeric Rice.

Sayur Lemak.

Mango Kerabu.

Some sort of vegetable curry.

We also shared a Singapore Laksa which is also a lunch special. It was not spicy but more of the creamy side.

Banana Leaf accepts credit card.

This is a limited time offer, so check it out before it ends.
