G8 Taiwan Kitchen on Oak St., Vancouver

Ben, Nanzaro and I went out for dinner on a Saturday evening. Ben wanted to walk across the Oak St. Bridge to have a view of the river. So, we parked on the side road near Costco and walked to G8 Taiwan Kitchen across the bridge.

We were there just shortly before 5:30PM and the restaurant was not open for dinner yet. We waited for about 10 minutes before it opened for dinner. The restaurant has a short break after lunch hour.

We ordered the pop corn chicken for our appetizer. They were crispy on the outside and quite moist inside.

Ben and I shared a large Tendon Beef Noodle.

We felt that the broth was a little bland.

Nanzaro ordered a deep fried BBQ pork on rice as he was intrigued by the name of the dish.

It is basically BBQ pork coated with the same coating like the pop corn chicken and deep fried. He enjoyed his meal.

We paid cash for our meal which came to about CAD30 before tips. Please note that if you pay with credit card below $50, there is a surcharge of 3%.

Here are some view from the Oak St. Bridge. An Airbus 380 passed by to land in YVR.

We decided to visit the Richmond Night Market near the River Rock Casino after we got back to Richmond. We found that G8 Taiwan Kitchen has a stall in the night market too.
