Penang Szechuan Cuisine in White Rock

Ben had to send the car for service at the BCAA Service Center in Surrey. We were there earlier than expected and decided to have lunch first in White Rock.

After looking for a while, we found this Penang Szechuan Cuisine as the name interests us.

The decorations is very Malaysian with “batik” cloth lining the tables.

You can click on the menu to have a larger view. Besides, a few “sambal” and curry dishes, the menu reviews that it’s more like a “chop suey” restaurant.

Ben ordered the Sambal Chicken lunch special. It did not look like a sambal dish but it did taste it has sambal element in it.

The lunch special came with a soup and Ben had the hot and sour soup.

I ordered the Hunan Chicken which had the chili indicator. It was alright, not too spicy.

I had wonton soup which came with two pieces of wontons.

The restaurant was quite busy as it was lunch time. Not surprisingly, there were quite a number of non-Asian dining here.

Just had the best mee goreng from Penang Szechuan in White Rock. The best meal since March, so satisfying. The noodles come with chicken, prawns n fried tofu n the sauce was just perfect, the noodles were not dry at all, so perfectly cooked. Kudos to the Chef. Thanks
