It was a hot spring day. Ben treated me a cool desert on a pre mother’s day celebration.
We went to Jack Frost Dessert Cafe across Richmond Center on No. 3 Road.
We arrived around 6:00PM and there were only two other customers there. When we left, the restaurant is already full house.
We asked the server what is their popular item and he told us it’s the Tiramisu Snowfall. The bowl is topped with a slice of Tiramisu cake. It was good as it is not too sweet. Continue reading
When Ben and I heard McDonalds is serving bagels. we decided to give it a try on a Saturday morning.
We tried two types of bagels. The above is everything with butter, toasted. We enjoyed the crunchiness of this bagel.
The Cinnamon Bagel with cream cheese has a softer texture.
We certainly like the new addition to the menu.
We had walked pass So Hyang Korean Cuisine several times since we have been dining around this area on Fridays.
We decided to give it a try this time. We arrived around 6:30pm and the restaurant was full house. We waited for about half an hour before we got a table. Apparently, most of the customers have reservation.
The waiting area has a small garden with flowing water. The sound of the flowing water is soothing.
We were asked if we want iced water or hot tea for our drink. We opted for the hot tea which has roasted rice aroma.
We saw quite a number of tables ordered the Kimchee Pancake, so we went along with that. The pancake came quickly after we placed our order. I presumed the restaurant have a number of them premade since it is a popular item. Continue reading
Ben and I went to do groceries shopping at Yaohan. We stopped by the food court to grab a light dinner.
We decided to try the new noodle shop, Ajea Noodle.
This is how it works. You get to choose your broth base; we went with the spicy broth at medium spiciness. Then you pick the ingredient and we opted for braised beef. The small cube beef was tender.
You then pick the noodles. We opted for the traditional thin noodles. Our bowl of noodle came to CAD10. You can be lavish by adding more other ingredients. We enjoyed the noodles.
After dinner at NamNam Noodle, Ben and I had a walk along Main St.
We came upon Jasmine Mediterranean Foods & Halal Meat.
The colorful posters enticed us to go in to check it out.

It’s TGIF. Ben picked me up from work and we made it a Friday dine out night to start the weekend.
We drove to Main St. to look for a dine out place. We could not decide where to eat and was thinking maybe we will revisit Hawker’s Delight. When we walked towards Hawker’s Delight, we noticed a new restaurant just a few doors away. So, we changed our plan and went to NamNam Noodle.
NamNam Noodle is a Chinese restaurant which serves hand pulled noodle.
The poster seems inviting enough for us with a reasonable price. Continue reading
Ben and I went for lunch after church service. Ben decided to drive to Fraser St., to look for lunch idea.
We ended up with a Pakistani and Indian restaurant, Dewan-E-Khass.
The restaurant was not busy when we were there before 1:00PM. There were two other tables being occupied.
Ben must have read about this restaurant from Yelp.
We started off with an appetizer of fries as we saw both other tables had it. The serving was quite large and it’s a little oily.
We ordered a Fish Biryani for $11.95. The serving was big as it was piling up high on the plate. Continue reading
My family went to the newly opened Tian Shi Fu for dinner on their opening weekend.
We were there just after 5:00PM. However, the server told us that they only serve BBQ after 5:00PM. We were there try their noodles. So, we declined and we will be back for lunch some other time.
We then went to Szechuan Delicious Restaurant for dinner instead.
After dinner, the boys wanted to have a bubble tea. We went back to Sharetea which shares the restaurant with Tian Shi Fu for the bubble tea as they offer buy one get one free on the grand opening weekend.
Arkensen had the Coffee Milk Tea while Nanzaro had the Okinawa Pearl Milk Tea. These drinks are sure pricey.

Ben and I went to Aberdeen Foodcourt to try the first Wu Han hot dry noodles in Metro Vancouver. This location is the fifth one in Canada.
When we were there, there is no line up at all.
Ben ordered the signature dry noodles which came with a small bowl of broth.
The signature dry noodles is heavy in sesame paste and is garnished with green onions, cilantro and some pickled vegetables. We had to add a lot of chili oil to add some spiciness to it. We also added some broth to thin out the sauce so that the noodles are not so clumpy.

Besides noodles, Chu Resto also serves marinated appetizers.
Ben came to pick me up from work on a Friday evening. We decided to go out for dinner to wind down the work week.
Ben brought me to a hole in the wall Indian/Pakistani restaurant on Main St., Vancouver.
Tandoori Oven serves vegetarian, lamb, chicken, goat, beef, fish, kabab & tandoori entrees, biryani, burgers and wraps.
The most impressive feature is all dishes are under $10.
We ordered a Curry Chicken Thali which is on special of the day. We can choose either rice or naan with it. We opted for naan because our next dish is a rice dish. Continue reading
