For the last dinner in London, Ben and I went for Vietnamese food. We had actually attempted to go for Vietnamese food on Kingsland earlier but we were lost due to getting down on the wrong subway station.
This time, after a better research, we found out that we were able to walk from our hotel to Kingsland where many Vietnamese restaurants are located. It is just a 25 minutes walk. Silly us on our first attempt.
We decided to have dinner at Song Que Vietnamese Restaurant as it is a popular one.
Song Que was full house when we arrived. And there was a line waiting for tables. Luckily we were not too far back in the line. The wait was at least 20 minutes.
The table setting are very tight.
Song Que served complementary prawn chips after we placed our order. A good start.
Their chopstick cover even has instructions on how to use chopstick. (more…)
More London buildings...
Here are some of the photos we took of interesting buildings and objects on our last full day in London. Hope you will enjoy them. The London Stock Exchange. Polices…
After exploring Borough Market, we still have a few hours for the day. So, we decided to explore another museum.
Museum of London showcases the account of London life from prehistoric times to the present day. Some of the exhibits I remembered were the plague, the great fire and modern London. No photography is allowed inside the museum.
The Lomo Wall; 65 meter in length is made up by almost 30,000 photographs of the London Olympic. More than 15,000 people from 32 countries submitted analogue pictures for this wall. (more…)

After breakfast, we decided to explore Borough Market in Southwark.
Borough Market is a wholesale and retail food market. We kind of regretted that we had breakfast earlier because there are so much food here to try.
Borough Market is one of the largest and oldest food markets in London. It is a source of quality British and international produce. Look at the line to the above coffee shop.
A sandwich in hand made a happy man.
Some kind of grilled cheese sandwich. I had to stand in line for at least 20 minutes to get the sandwich. This is one of the popular stall.
Although we already had breakfast, we just got to try it. The grilled cheese sandwich was 5 pounds. (more…)
Day 9 was a good day with great sunshine. We ventured to the Petticoat Lane for breakfast.
Some of the clothes vendors in Petticoat Lane.
We found a cafe with mostly locals in it. They are blue collar workers. As usual, I had coffee while Ben had tea. He likes to drink what the locals drink.
Ben had a pub food for breakfast; bacon, liver with onions and fries. The above was 4.50 pounds. (more…)
