Minnie’s Salad

Minnie made a very simple salad with cabbages, fruits and nuts to serve as a side dish along with her sushi. I’m not a big fan of salad but I like Minnie’s salad. It’s colourful, sweet, tangy and crunchy.

  • 1 red apple
  • 2 kiwi fruit
  • 2 tomatoes
  • 1 mandarin orange
  • 1 bag of ready cut cabbages
  • dried cranberries
  • raisins
  • mixture of walnuts and pine nuts
  • 3/4 bottle Japanese mayonnaise
  • 1 lemon

_MG_5007_edited-1In a smaller bowl, mix the Japanese mayonnaise with the juice of half a lemon.
_MG_5010_edited-1Drizzle the mayonnaise over the salad.
_MG_5012_edited-1Mix the salad thoroughly.

Serve as a side dish.

This is a very refreshing salad.

Minnie also served a hearty bowl of Miso Soup along with the Salad and Sushi.

Making the Miso Soup is as easy as abc. Bring a pot of water to boil, add in the desirable amount of Miso paste and let simmer for a few minutes. Garnish with chopped green onions or some soft diced tofu.
