This is a recipe that I missed from the community kitchen. I made it from home instead.

This Apple Cider Vinegar Mint infused drink is very refreshing and great for hot summer days.
Vinegar is believed to help weight loss. It prolongs the sensation of satiety after eating.
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups water
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 2/3 cup apple cider vinegar
- 1/2 cup fresh mint

Source: via Minoo
Instructions
Bring the water to a boil.
Add sugar and stir to dissolve sugar. |
Then add the vinegar and bring back to a boil, reduce heat and simmer, uncovered, for at least 30 minutes.
The sharp aroma of vinegar permeated my house while this was simmering. |
Remove from heat and add the mint leaves (include the stems).
Cover the pot with a tight-fitting lid. Allow to cool. |
When cool, transfer to a dry bottle along with the mint leaves for storage in the refrigerator.
To serve, add water and ice to taste. Garnish with a few fresh mint leaves.
I like mine with 3 tablespoons of the vinegar mint syrup and top up the glass with cold water. |
This is also very nice with sparkling water. At our house we have a system for adding carbonation to tap water 🙂 which uses small gas canisters.
How long do you think this will keep in the fridge?
Hi Jacqueline, I think this can last quite long as it’s just like a light syrup. But, if you intent to make a big batch, just dont leave the mint in it when you store it in the fridge.
