Ben and I went for lunch at Golden Leopard International Buffet on a Friday.

This is the biggest buffet we had ever been too. Buffet lunch is at RMB198 (CAD33) per person and limit to 1 1/2 hours.

Random Eats in Beijing – Chinese Pastries

We bought these Chinese pastries from a road side stand while on the way to lunch.

The pastries came in different flavours, like milk, peanut, osmanthus, etc. I cannot recall now what are the rest of the flavours but I remembered we bought one each. All the above plus one that we ate at a restaurant was RMB15 (CAD2.50).

Random Eats in Beijing – Yoshinoya

Ben and I wanted a light dinner since we had hot pot lunch at Xiabu Xiabu. Unfortunately, no photography is allowed at Xiabu Xiabu.

Random Eats in Beijing – Shanxi Restaurant

Ben had a meeting at the office. He came home just in time for lunch.

Ben and I walked to a nearby Shanxi Restaurant for lunch.

The Shanxi Restaurant is famous for it’s hand shaved noodle.

The restaurant even has an Ultraman looking robotic chef to shave noodle. But it was not working when I was there.

Sight Seeing in Beijing – Temple of the Sun (Ritan)

On one of the weekend, Ben and I visited the Temple of the Sun (Ritan).  This is one of the four temples in Beijing, i.e. Temple of Heaven, Temple of Earth and Temple of Moon.

The Temple of Sun Park covers an area of 206,200 square meters. It is a public park with gardens and pond.
